Rashtriya Millitary School Coaching in Chandigarh

Rashtriya Military schools were established as King George’s Royal Indian Military schools to take care of the education of the sons of defence personnel. In 1952, the schools were reorganized on Public School lines and admissions were made open to civilians. 

Rashtriya Military Schools are a CBSE affiliated residential school for the students studying in class VI to XII. The school prepares cadets for All India Senior School Certificate Examination and for joining defence forces as officers. The medium of instruction is English while Hindi is a compulsory subject for students studying in classes VI to X. 

Rashtriya Military Schools are located at Bangalore, Belgaum (Karnataka), Chail (Himachal Pradesh), Dholpur and Ajmer (Rajasthan).

RASHTRIYA MILITARY SCHOOLS ADMISSION 2017: –

Eligibility for Class VI: –

Age: – Students between 10 to 12 years as on 31^st March of the year of the admission are eligible. Six months relaxation in upper age limit is permissible for the wards of personnel killed in action.

Education: – Should have passed Class Vth from govt/ recognized school before the date of admission to Rashtriya Military School, however a student studying in Class Vth is eligible to appear for the Entrance Test.

Medical: – Selected candidates will have to undergo medical exam at the Command/ Zonal and other Military Hospitals as nominated by the Director General of Medical Services prior to admission and only those found medically fit will be offered admission.

Interview and Results: – Candidates who clear the CET and are figuring in the merit list will be required to appear for an interview at respective Rashtriya Military Schools. Final merit list will be prepared after the Interview. Results will be hosted on Army Intranet Home Page under the heading ‘What is new’ on MT Directorate home page under the heading ‘Results’ and also on www.indianarmy.nic.in

Eligibility for Class IXth

Age: – Only boys between 13 to 15 years of age for Class IXth at the time of admission.

Education: – Should have passed Class VIIIth before the date of admission to a Rastriya Military School. However, a student studying in class VIIIth is eligible to appear in the entrance test.

Medical: – Selected candidates who are found medically fit at the Command/ zonal and other Military Hospitals will be offered admission.

Admission Criteria: – 

Enrance Exam (Class VI): – The Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to Class VI. The exam will be automated OMR based in subject of Intelligence, General Knowledge, Mathematics and English of Class Vth Standard.
